# Setting Up Email Branding & Notifications

***

#### Before you start

* Your club already exists. Settings apply to every club on your store.
* You have a logo ready — a URL you can paste, or a file to upload (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, HEIC, or HEIF).

***

#### Step 1: Open Settings

Open **Shopify Admin** → Apps → CrushSuite Clubs → **Settings**.

Open **Settings** and click **Save Settings** once, even if you change nothing. Until you do, scheduled member emails — customization reminders, the order processing notice, and card expiry warnings — won't send.

Your support email address only gets stored the first time you click **Save Settings**, and CrushSuite's scheduled member emails require it before they'll go out at all. Event-driven emails — welcome, payment failed, cancellation — still reach your members meanwhile, falling back to your Shopify account address for the contact address in their footer. So everything looks fine until a customization deadline passes with no reminder sent.

#### Step 2: Set your email branding

Under **Email Branding**:

* **Logo URL** — paste a hosted image URL, or click **Upload logo** to upload one directly.
* **Primary Color** and **Accent Color** — used throughout your club emails.
* **Footer Text** — optional custom text shown in the email footer.

A live preview updates as you edit.

#### Step 3: Set your billing retry behavior

Under **Billing & Retry**:

* **Max Retry Attempts** — default 3, range 1–30.
* **Retry Interval** — default 3 days, range 1–35.
* **After Max Retries** — **Pause membership** (paused until payment is resolved) or **Cancel membership** (removed from the club).

#### Step 4: Choose which emails your members get

Under **Notifications**, in the **MEMBER EMAILS** group. Each reminder is a number of days, not a fixed window — set what fits your release calendar:

* **Customization deadline reminder** — on by default, 7 days before the deadline.
* **Final reminder** — on by default, 2 days before the deadline.
* **Card expiring soon** — on by default, 30 days before the card expires.

Each has its own toggle and day count. CrushSuite sends one customization reminder per release, and **Final reminder** takes precedence — so if you set both inside the same short window, only one goes out. Publish a release two days before its deadline and the 7-day reminder never sends.

#### Step 5: Choose which alerts you get

Under **Notifications**, in the **YOUR ALERTS** group:

* **New member joins** — on by default.
* **Member cancels** — on by default.
* **Payment fails** — on by default.
* **Release ships** — off once you save Settings. Release summaries send by default until you save Settings for the first time. From then on the **Release ships** toggle decides, and it's off. Turn it on before you save if you want to keep receiving them.

These alerts arrive at your Shopify account email address, unbranded — the branding above applies to member emails only.

#### Step 6: Set your default shipping

Under **Default Shipping**:

* **Default Carrier** — the shipping method pre-selected on new releases.
* **Enable flat rate by default** — toggles whether the flat rate applies automatically.
* **Default Flat Rate** — a flat amount. The field stays disabled until **Enable flat rate by default** is on, so turn the toggle on first.

#### Step 7: Save

Click **Save Settings**. A **Settings saved** confirmation appears.

***

#### Where your emails come from

Member emails send from `noreply@mail.crushsuite.com` under your club's name — no DNS setup required. Your own alerts come from `admin@crushsuite.com`.

#### If one email type never arrives while others do

If a specific email type never arrives while others do, contact support — it usually means that template needs enabling on your account rather than anything wrong with your settings.
